The story in the news is the 9/11 anniversary that occurred on Tuesday. The anniversary is done to console the families who lost their loved ones during the 2001 terror attack. As a nation, this ceremony is of great honor to different people who lost their lives in that incident such as the firefighters who died in their line of duty among other people. The news was covered in various media houses such as the Fox-News and the CNN television.
According to the Fox-News, there is consideration given to the different people who perished during the attack, and also different dignitaries that attended the occasion were considered. For instance, some of the family members of the people who lost their lives during the attack were given an opportunity to say something concerning their feelings about the day and their memories of the beloved ones (Peltz & Matthews, 2018). And also the highlights made by different leaders during their speeches were also put into consideration. In general, the Fox-News covered the general atmosphere of the day and the occurrences. The news given by the CNN concerning the 9/11 anniversary was a narration of the occurrence of the 2001 terror attack. It was done from the viewpoint of the witness that experienced the incident. There was also information concerning the leaders who attended the function even though the better content was to bring the greater picture of the incident how it occurred in 2001 (Avlon, 2018).

The reports given by the two media firms were different and even the time allocation for the reports varied. However, the CNN did not cover the scene of the anniversary function and get to interact with the family members of the people who lost their lives.
From the news presented by the two media firms about the 9/11, it was clear that they give honor to the day and they grieve together with the families and friends that lost their loved ones. Through the coverage of the news, it influences the readers and the viewers of the news to remain in solidarity when it comes to the remembrance of the fallen heroes and heroines.
