Subject: Formation of a committee
Working together in support of learning is the ultimate way to achieve better results in schools. For this reason, I call upon all principles from all the schools in my district to volunteer in the formation of a single working committee that will ensure that parent involvement in schools is improved. Most people take for granted this volatile issue and fail to appreciate its significance in the education of children. In most cases, children only get their parent’s attention when they are young, but as they grow, they are left alone to make their judgments’, which is not right.
The school is a major factor in determining the extent to which parents should get involved in their children’s education. When parents get involved in their children’s lives, academic performance, and general classroom behavior is enhanced. This is a result of the positive attitude instilled in the children and the self-esteem boost experienced when there is harmony between them, the educators, and their parents. Children need their parents to show concern from the time they are in preschool to the time they complete high school. Income or Social status cannot determine a child’s success because with training parents whose children are disadvantaged in any way get encouraged and become involved. Teachers also benefit fparents to volunteer rom this kind of relationship as they are motivated, and they can understand their students better despite their race, disability, or social status.

Wait! Memo as a superintendent paper is just an example!

Knowing the essence of parent involvement is one thing and convincing parents to get involved is another. The committee will establish the reason for the low participation of parents in schools during the first meeting and come up with new strategies to ensure that the laxity among parents is curbed. All the principles will receive clarification on how to create a welcoming atmosphere in school that will inspire parents to volunteer in the school activities and fully participate in the processes of the school in many of ways. The process of augmenting relationships between the key players in education starts with the principals and should not be overlooked.
Communication is vital in the establishment of any given relationship. The committee will be of benefit since it will create a forum that will allow all principles at all levels to express themselves freely. Principles will learn from each other and help one another in addressing the challenge of parents’ involvement. I believe that forming a committee, as principals will assist in guiding the process of communication between the parents’, the teachers, and the students. It is also necessary that parents are made aware of the vital role they play in their children’s education.
Engaging families in school activities in a manner that improves learning and supports parent involvement both in school and at home results in greater gains by the student. When parents discuss with their children, expressing their expectations of them and ensuring that they spend their time out of school constructively and taking part in their decision-making, the students tend to perform better. This is the kind of relationship we as educators must look forward to promoting. Forming the committee is a step closer to achieving the desired academic achievement by increasing parent participation and sustaining commendable connections.
