My academic life in Baylor College
Since the time I was in seventh grade, I could picture myself attending a prestigious college of medicine to pursue my dream career. At that age, I could envisage building my career in medicine and earning my reputation.
Nonetheless, I could not discern the perfect institution to enroll for and turn my dream into a reality. As time went by, I gradually developed a clear image of the kind of college I wanted to join. By the time I was in tenth grade, I had narrowed down my options owing to the specific qualities that I was looking for. I wanted to join an institution that is reputable and known beyond the boundaries of the U.S and has carved a niche in the sciences and particularly in medicine. The institution had to offer quality education, unmatched by any other college in its respective state and beyond. I realized that to get the best in my studies, I needed to not only focus on the academic perspective but also a supportive environment that would help in tapping the potential in me. My dream college had to place value on the students and guide them through the process of actualizing their dreams during the period of study as well as assist them in taking the next step upon completion. It was to be a place where I will meet new people, learn new things every day and seize every opportunity for growth.
As I narrowed down my options further, I thought of Baylor as the best option. I pondered upon my choice carefully to ensure that it was exactly what I wanted.

After this process, I simply could not think of a more suitable place. Precisely, Baylor College is the epitome of excellence in medicine, and meets all the requirements that I was looking for in an institution of higher learning. Its quality of education, staff to student ratio, facilities, and learning environment are unparalleled. Baylor’s community redefines the kind of environment suitable to pursue one’s dreams in. It is hospitable, friendly and replete with opportunities for an all-round growth. There are numerous activities that usually take place in the institution, which offer everyone an opportunity to tap into their potential. Considering the other alternatives, I was weighing, the number of clubs at Baylor is unequaled. These clubs are a perfect platform to engage in matters that interest one as well as blend academics with hobbies. I find this ideal because I like meeting new people and socializing. Therefore, I believe these clubs will be a bespoke avenue to expand my growth beyond the classroom setting. By the time I’m completing my studies at Baylor, I can already envision the kind of a person I will be – that is, equipped with the requisite skills not only in my field of study but also to excel in life. I believe that all these would enable me to stand out among the rest in the dynamic and highly competitive job market.
Further, I love helping people and taking part in volunteer work. Through the relevant club at the institution, I will actively be involved in undertakings that give hope to the hopeless and improve the overall welfare of the wider community. I am also a problem-solver and take pleasure in providing solutions. As such, I intend to positively impact on those around me, and ensure that the environment in which I live is always conducive for everyone. The clubs are a good platform to execute one’s duties of giving back to the community around them. As such, I will utilize every available opportunity to contribute to their growth and achievement of their mission. Lastly, I will actively be engaged in representing Baylor at all academic and non-academic platforms I will be privileged to get, letting the world know of the kind of holistic development that the facilities and fraternity of the institution offer one. Concisely, I intend to help grow the college as it helps grow me.
