QUESTION 1
There is no future without education in the society. It has been defined only as for the school system. However, it can apply to several systems of the society like politics, religion, and every individual. Philosophers Paulo and Plato, by their interest in education patterns, they opened up mindset of education in the society. They both note that until the present the system keeps on feeding students through teachers which, according to teachers is true while to students, they passive the information given to them is true. Most notably between Plato and Freire, is that both of them appeals to us that we think “outside the box” and that there is more out there to understand and realize.
According to Freire “a careful analysis of the teacher-student relationship at any stage, outside or inside the school, points out it’s fundamentally narrative character. The relationship involves a narration subject (the teacher) and patient listening objects (the students)”. Freire considers the learning process of education to be passive where teachers seem to narrate all concepts and students obligated to accept. He notes that narration makes the students memorize the narrated information mechanically. The narration turns the students into “containers” into “receptacles” to be filled by the teacher
Freire findings is that the passiveness role in the learning process, students encourage more manipulation that is practiced on them.

The term ‘banking education’ is used by Freire to criticize the traditional method of education in which the knowledge is transferred from the instructor to the student through a predetermined set of curriculum. He recommends education should be of more interaction and communication which fosters students understand their lessons and possibly develop creativity and wide knowledge on many aspects of the society.
On contrary to Friere, Plato describes the tedious process of education by the teacher is what will gradually make individuals realize the truth about themselves and their condition. In his plan of education, Plato considers an educator to have an importance role. Thus, the teacher is a constant guide for learners. His view is also tied to integrity and professional personality a teacher should possess that leads the learners to moral life.
Freire argument seems to be realistic as banking education targets at maintaining the division between individuals who have the information and those who don’t, between the oppressed and the oppressors. It also denies the educators and the learners the environment of dialogue. Banking education hinders stimulation of intellectual discipline. Instead it kills, creativity, curiosity and experimental spirit of learners which encourages the passive behavior of learners.
