Capturing memories is a small company that specializes in photography. The company offers these services for weddings as well as other special events. The company intends to expand the business to encompass corporate events. The company is facing several issues. First, the company’s employees are not cooperative since they have been forming groups to continue asking for pay rise even after clear communication from the management. These employees have been asking for salary hike but the business owner, Mr. Timothy Shields has communicated to them that this demand cannot be met since the business is not capable yet. The business has been losing clients due to this situation as employees are not performing their jobs as expected. The company has also been losing many of its projects to competitors due to this problem that it has with employees.
The desired performance of the firm and employees is linked to the present performance. The company intends to be offering is services to corporate events. It also desires to create a brand name that will help increase the number of clients. The company depends on its small number of employees to help it in achieving its goals and objectives. The current performance of the company is below considering what the company wants to achieve in future. There is a gap that must be filled to ensure that a bridge is built to ensure that the goals, as well as objectives, are met (Royse, 2009).

There are several opportunities for this organization. The company can grow to great heights since there are opportunities for growth in this industry.
The desired performance relates to the mission statement of the company. The company’s mission statement is to ensure that clients enjoy the best memories after receiving its services. The desired performance defines what the company needs to do so that it can accomplish its vision.
The priority for this company is its employees. Employees are an important asset to the organization as they ensure that the company continues to grow and expand since they pay for the services rendered. Customers expect to be served well and also expect that the company is available anytime that they want services to be delivered to them. Due to the threat, if employee strikes, the company had to cancel some appointments with crucial clients. This situation continues to harm the brand name of this company. Further, there is an issue with employees since they have been having performance problems. Employees help the company to accomplish its goals and therefore there is a need to address their issues.
The performance problems have been caused by the fact that employees want their salaries increased. The company is not yet capable of increasing salaries since it is small and has not yet stabilized.
Employees need to be trained so that they can be in a position to serve customers as desired. The employees have a knowledge problem, and that is why they can understand the business owner when he says that there is no money at the moment to increase their salaries. If employees are trained the company will realize great rewards. Effective team building can help in solving the salary issue since the employees will be in a position to understand the current state of this enterprise (Altschuld, 2010).
The external environment has stiff competition which affects the company greatly. Internally, the company suffers due to its small size which limits what it can do due to low numbers of employees as well as other resources.
