The demand for technology, specialized technical and scientific personnel for nuclear projects is a great opportunity to apply knowledge and increase the commitment of the academy to generate professionals of excellent academic level, committed to the care of the environment and thus create examples of thought that helpA transcend society.

At present, investment costs to build new nuclear plants are high compared to combined cycle thermoelectricas based on gas or other hydrocarbons.

But a considerable tendency to reduce its costs can be extrapolated. The Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) is the lower cost reactor finding around 1.6 ₵ US/KWh. In the last decade, nuclear engineering developed innovative methods of disintegration of radioactive waste completely decreasing the affectation to the environment;In addition to the areas where generation plants are installed, they are used in large natural care reserves;Thus, the creation of more nuclear plants eradicates the production of greenhouse gases and increases natural reserves areas.
