“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” – Mahatma Gandhi (Chang 626).
This quote best describes my personality and provides a foundation for my resolution to spend my life in the servitude of others as an advanced practice nurse. Though the profession is widely underappreciated, it is also undeniably imperative for the efficacious working of a health system. In contrast to popular opinion, the nursing profession for me has been an entirely fulfilling journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. In the process of helping others, I have found tranquillity and a sense of purpose that is meaningful and impactful. This noble profession has enabled me to explore my talents and expertise as a teacher, as a public health advocate, as a caregiver, as a critical thinker, and as an innovator. No matter how volatile the public perception gets, it is the restorative progress of my patients that provides all the appreciation I will ever need; effectively fuelling my transition from an RN to an APRN.
The reason behind my quest towards building my expertise in the advanced practice (i.e. ARPN) resides in my vehement desire to perform amicably on the frontlines of healthcare provision. This was why I have decided to choose the FNP track during the course of my MSN. Scarce in numbers and equally pivotal for the integrity of the entire health provision framework, this field promises greater responsibilities and more opportunities to be closely associated with the patients, in terms of properly diagnosing, treating, and managing their chronological diseases and illnesses.

My service record encompasses a decade worth of experience in various roles in the healthcare sector. I started my journey as a Patient technologist at DSI management after completion of my MEDS. During the course of my LPN at the Florida College of Health Sciences, I joined the Leesburg Regional Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant where I served till the completion of my degree; primarily accountable for obtaining patient information and increasing the quality of life enjoyed by them in the facility. After 4 years of commendable service and the completion of the LPN degree, I was offered a position at the Colonial Lake Health Care Centre as a licensed practical nurse, officially commencing my practice as an RN. There I endeavoured to provide efficient monitoring, evaluation, collection and relaying of medical information. Presently I provide services as a registered nurse at Orlando health and aim to join your reputable establishment as a Family Nurse Practitioner while continuing to build my capacity in the ARPN domain.
I am result oriented and understand the mechanisms and intricacies of evidence-based interventions. As a family nurse practitioner, my objective is to reiteratively build myself as an agile and adaptable knowledge-based worker. Moreover, I will prove myself as an asset by consistently carrying forth effective operationalization of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries and illness in primary, acute, and special family healthcare sectors. It would be an honour to be selected by [Name of Facility], to work and learn amongst reputable health care providers and knowledge-based workers.
