The giant panda, also known as Panda bear is a mammal that lives in bamboo forests located in the mountains of center of China. Distinguished by its captivating combined black and white fur and bulky body This animal is undoubtedly one of the easiest to recognize worldwide. Unfortunately this bear is today located in the lists of endangered species and it is estimated that there would be less than 2,000 copies.

Why is the panda in danger of extinction?

The loss of your habitat. The greatest threat that pandas face today is undoubtedly deforestation by the human being. This has caused much of its habitat to be lost. They previously lived in Vietnam, Burma and Laos but today you can only see them in China. Each carved bamboo means the loss of the only food consumed by the pandas.

Problems of adaptation.

When their forests are destroyed, there is no possibility that pandas adapt to cities or towns. The digestive system of this animal is only prepared to eat bamboo leaves, so it is ruled out that they can make changes in their diet. Even so, if they could do it, their large size would not allow them to live among humans. Panda can only prosper in the environment that adapted from its origins.

Difficulties to reproduce.

Panda bears usually give birth between one and three bears per litter. It is estimated that at least one of them manages to survive to adulthood. Another problem is that bamboo leaves are not high in nutrients, which makes the female when pregnant is not well prepared.
