Personal responsibility
Personal responsibility may be defined in many ways that may all be true, but basically, it only comes down to one thing; owning up to one’s actions and their consequences without pointing fingers or laying blame on others. Through personal responsibility one is accountable for his/her actions and thus able to forge a path forward towards set goals guided by self-supervision in accordance to one’s guiding principles. Personal responsibility has many aspects or dimension from which it could be approached. These dimensions represent its applications in the various parts of life and situations. Therefore, personal responsibility can be said to be the reason behind personal accountability of action and consequences in all areas of life.
Personal responsibility is intrinsic thus it starts from inside coming outside. Therefore, this means that when one is held accountable for his/her actions by an authority figure, it’s not personal responsibility since the accountability isn’t inspired by one’s free will but rather by the circumstances. On the other hand, a person that takes responsibility for his/her actions even in situations where no one is present to make the person face the consequences can be said to be accountable. Through personal responsibility, people may learn to be self-driven even their day to day life since they learn to apply their free will in the right direction. Every choice that we make in our day-to-day life has either positive or negative consequences.

The decision to not make a choice by itself and thus there are no neutral places in the balance of life.
Through the course of the English class, we have applied personal responsibility both for participation in the class and in our individual endeavors. Personally, during the past semester, I had time management issues that I had made a personal commitment to tackling during this class. Through personal responsibility, I held myself accountable for every minute I spend through ensuring I was punctual for my classes and group discussion to maximum utilization of my time during class and study sessions. This enabled me to discover different dimensions of time management other than just being punctual. These aspects include scheduling, prioritizing, delegation, among many others.
Another success of personal responsibility during this English course was in group activities. More often than not when a group task is not completed certain individuals are blamed for not doing their honest part. However, after one understands that all members of that group are equally responsible for the task at hand, then the failure of completion is less likely. Despite the number of people in a group, every individual is usually 100% responsible for the task. This means that despite one member completing his part of the job, it remains his/her responsibility to ensure that the rest of the members complete their task. This new dimension of personal responsibility ensures the success of team tasks.
Besides the above-illustrated instances and aspects of personal responsibility, there are many other dimensions that were applied during the course and many more to be explored. Personal responsibility is a broad application concept that can’t be easily confined by narrow, rigid guidelines. One right attitude for this concept should be the implementation of personal responsibility when things are working out smoothly and also, when they are not. Following this principle not only boosts our growth toward being more responsible adults but also serve as a source of knowledge since one’s mistakes can be a great source of knowledge.

I need to work a lot; that’s why I really didn’t have a single minute to focus on my thesis writing. These guys from Essay-samples are real saviors. I don’t know how they knew what my professor expected to receive, but they definitely succeeded.
