Internship Application for the Position of Policy and Communication Intern
I am writing to apply for the position of Policy and Communication intern that was recently advertised on your Company’s website and was delighted that my academic credentials meet all the requirements stated by your company. I am currently looking for a challenging but fulfilling internship program, which explains why this opportunity fascinates me.
I am currently studying at Hunters College majoring in Creative-English. I expect to graduate in June next year, 2019. I am also a graduate of Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York, with a degree in Writing and Literature. My primary emphasis is on making an economic and social impact on society. I believe that my academic training will help in supporting the continued expansion of New York’s market policy portfolio by providing valuable communications, writing, and research skills to the team. I feel that this company places significance in making an impact in society, which will positively help my career.
After graduating, my focus will be on conducting research on emerging issues in housing policy and working towards making an impact through new media strategies. I intend to work closely with like-minded people to impact. With the right mentorship program and experience, I believe I can achieve this. Your company provides me with an opportunity to express myself, which is an experience I need to make my dreams.

I have an excellent academic path. I was listed among the best students by the Dean at both Borough of Manhattan and Hunters Colleges. I have worked as an intern for Harlem Community Newspaper, as Social Media Assistant, and Catholic Charities Archdiocese and ASA College, both as English Composition Tutor. All these institutions are in New York.
