Admission of Athletes in Higher Learning Institutions
The involvement of athletes in higher education is important both for the athlete and the institution in which an athlete is admitted. The participation of students in athletics and other forms of sports within an institution enhances not only an athlete’s performance but also encourages other students to realize their academic dreams. My selection of this topic was influenced by my desire to engage in co-curriculum activities while at the same time pursuing my academic objectives successfully. My research in this area has given me much motivation to carry on with my education while at the same time sparing some time to explore my passion for football. The higher learning environments brood talent and enable athletes to complete their courses without defaulting any examinations. My research on the topic has enabled me to learn the significance of athletes are in higher learning institutions and their impact not only on their performance but also on or against other students. Socialization and interaction between athletes in the field stimulate the brain by creating a psychological effect. The aspect of team membership taught in the field passed on to students by coaches creates the desired level of responsibility, discipline and time management.
The coaches and lecturers are more concerned with the performance of athletes on and off the field.

Wait! Reflection 2 paper is just an example!

I learned that athletes who are passionate about sports must achieve specific academic grades to be eligible for participation in co-curriculum activities. Playing as a team instills a sense of leadership on players enhancing their ability to understand one another and accord each other support on and off the field. Participating in sports also allows learners to exercise physically thereby reducing the chances of acquiring lifestyle diseases such as obesity and high blood pressure at a very young age. Furthermore, sporting activities in higher learning institutions give the students exposure while traveling to other places to play matches. The exposure lays out an opportunity for such students to meet new people, interact with them thereby acquiring knowledge on ideas and issues that influence their way of living with people within the society. Based on knowledge gained from exploring this topic, I would encourage involvement in sports and the nurturing of talents through academic success in higher learning institutions.
Educated athletes have a broad scope of opportunities thus guaranteeing their survival in the society. To improve the delivery of the information presented, I would have cut off information that does not link active participation in co-curriculum activities with the academic performance of the rest of the students. Moreover, the points supporting the thesis statement are not well presented in writing. In conclusion, it is clear that athletics play a crucial role in cultivating good academic performance between team members and the whole institution. The level of effectiveness, alertness, and competence demanded in athletics builds the player’s mental strength; this is also the basis of motivation that players live by both on and off the field thereby improving their dedication and concentration in the class.
