Discrimination is giving an unfavorable or undeserved treatment to a certain person or group. There are human groups that are victims of discrimination every day for some of their physical characteristics or their way of life.

Ethnic or national origin, sex, age, disability, social or economic status, health condition, pregnancy, language, religion, opinions, sexual preferences, civil status and other differences can beReason for distinction, exclusion or restriction of rights.

Something that comes very hand with discrimination is racism, a form of preference, segregation or exclusion based on skin color, ethnicity or cultural origin.

The history of discrimination is as remote as humanity itself. The most notorious example is found in slaves, which have existed at all times and cultures around the world, and, surely, it is still practiced in some regions.

The Romans had a rigorous social class system, those who considered themselves citizens were the only ones who enjoyed all rights. Foreigners, slaves, and other groups, were segregates of a political and social life.

Another very famous case was that of the "Nazis" led by Adolf Hitler who considered their Aria race the purest and upper and, therefore, had the right to exterminate the Jewish race. Racism was mainly directed against people of Jewish origin and secondly against people belonging to the gypsy people and thus throughout history there are several cases of discrimination and/or racism.

Racism is perhaps one of the most common forms of discrimination that exist in human society, even today. But it is not the only. Other forms of segregation of the different include:

• Xenophobia. Hate, fear or contempt for individuals from abroad, for their traditions or their way of speaking, in short, the rejection of coexistence with those that come from other parts the planet.
• Homophobia. The rejection or hatred of homosexuals or the very existence of homosexual relationships, calling them ominous, perverse, antinatural, etc., to the point of denying rights or violating the physical or moral integrity of people with such sexual orientation.

Discrimination today

For us, young people may have gone to marginalization, contempt or rejection.

I conclude that discrimination is a problem of every day, personally I have been on both sides of this. But as many times I have discriminated it in an unconscious way and desire to cause harm. Now that I am bigger, I have matured and my moral has changed. Since childhood my family and school have instilled values and taught me that we are all equal.
