Job Candidate’s Readiness after Receiving the Critique
A resume is a critical document to a job applicant as it gives an employer the important pieces of information of a job applicant’s previous work experiences, qualifications, and achievements. Often, the resume provides the employment intention, which is a précis of competencies, abilities, qualifications and the possible contributions, a précis of academic achievements, and a listing of requirements. A resume is prepared as an application for the employers’ posted job and sent to the recruiter in response to an advertisement or request for applicants.
The ten suggestions by the recruiter to the job candidate can transform the resume to be impactful, powerful and memorable, and would make the job candidate ready for the next phase of the recruitment process. A properly prepared resume covers several important things, and distinguishes the job candidate from a crowd of other applicants, even others who may be more qualified for a position (Gatewood, Hubert and Murray 385). The resume serves as a constant reminder that an applicant is writing the future, positions that one target, and emphasizing the appropriate skills, experiences, accomplishments, and results. Without the right achievements, the resume of the job candidate may appear just like that of the other candidate.
The job candidate should always be cognizant of the fact that employers desires more from their potential employees, and might be interested in more than just knowledge and expertise. When the recruiter bolded the major and expected graduation date in the document, it served to make the resume less noisy and increased the keyword density of the resume.
