Nearly all private higher education institutions are receiving an endowment from its alumni; which is a phenomenon of feedback to the college. The earnings of these institutions should not be negative because this money is post-taxation earnings from the alumni. Therefore, it could be disgusting if the money is double-taxed by the tax collection agencies. Secondly, private universities have obligations more than only teaching students that are researching and developing technologies in different fields. Therefore, the institutions need to find a way of funding their projects for them to be in a position to meet their day to day obligations. The endowments are, however, not only to private institutions but also to big state schools since the schools to have many obligations that they are required to fulfill. The big state schools are given the opportunity to receive the endowment due to the high population in the schools and the activities that the students do carry out including research.

It is, therefore, very crucial for schools to maintain high standards for them to be in a position of receiving funds from alumni and state agencies for them to be in a position of carrying out their activities.
The public institutions are well funded since they receive funding from state agencies and at the same time its alumni as long as they are doing well in the academic fields. Last month, a William and Mary alumni gave two hundred and fifty million dollars to his alma mater – a leader public school. It is not to consider the endowment is bigger than the state funding to the schools. Therefore, schools should aim at to mentor students who can give back to their schools when they make it in life in future times. Consequently, this will improve the quality and image of the institutions.
It is an unfair practices to double-tax anyone because you have a notion that they have more money as the tax authorities are doing to the institutions. A single form of taxation is enough and a fair system to all members of the public and the various institutions that are set up within the boundaries of the nation. These particular institutions are usually a way to enormous on government feeding. The institutions have to put their energy to research and provide maximum concentration to the field of research due to the endowments that they receive. The money and its consequents should always go back to the society to offer the necessary support that may be required rather than being wasted on unnecessary luxuries.
