Robotics and its advances in medicine

Introduction

Robotics is very useful in medicine that is capable of getting where the eye of man cannot. Laparoscopy uses surgical methods such as the robot for cases in which the level of intervention is low and the recovery of the patient should be done in the shortest possible time.

Recently, the 12th edition of the Bdigital Global Congress, which has brought together important doctors to treat the development of these new technologies, promoting the use of virtual simulators, such as those that allow to design implants, or those who with only one blow keyboard allow a patient to diagnose.(Clemar, 2013)

Conceptual framework

Robotics and its application to medicine is one of the most important named in the best change in what has to do with the health and improvement of patients. There are at least 3 places that can excel: first the robots that operate with small cuts.(Verges, 2019)

A fine robot accompanied by cameras can access body places without having to open the entire area that was previously necessary for the surgeon to operate managing the instruments with their hands, in addition to the visual field.

The precision in these operations is surprising. The incision is minimal, which considerably advances the patient’s recovery.

We also find robots in pharmacy. Connected by different ways to the body of the prevented patient, they manage the exact doses of different medications.

Wait! Robotics And Its Advances In Medicine paper is just an example!

Very relevant are myoelectric prostheses in amputated patients. Prosthesis reproduces limb movements.

It is remarkable in these prostheses that the initial electrical signal part of the brain. The muscles send messages to the prostheses sensors and the electronic system reproduces the movements.

The most innovative use the nerves that remain in the patient’s stump, so that the prosthesis moves with the same thought we had before amputation when we wanted to move the limb.

The nerves that remain in the stump are the ones that retransmit the signal to the robot engine. What the robot does is amplify it to be enough to produce movement. These signals are known as myoelectric signs.

We are continually surprising new studies in robotics applicable to patient treatment, being today one of the most promising fields in the advancement of medicine.

Conclusions

  • Robotics in medicine today is of vital importance, since it helps in much the good performance of joints lost by patients in an accident, using this type of prosthesis a new opportunity for life is given and of recovering its limbs.
  • The implementation of robotics in medicine continues to grow over time, since technology grows daily and new articles are also created that help the good practice of this science.
