The term usability is defined as quality user experience when interacting with software systems. It plays a crucial role in electronic health records systems since it ensures efficiency and satisfaction of the users and its ability to be identified by usability problems.

Usability factors have played a crucial role in access to application websites and computer software. However, learning through different sites has been affected by complex procedures of a website that hindering the user’s navigation (Koppel & Lehmann, 2014). Usability principles are based on effective navigation for screens in software application website. Koppel & Lehmann outlines consistency, accessibility, structure, and simplicity as the primary principles that ensure quality usability (2014). The user should, therefore, expect all the pages to be similar regarding structure and design. The navigation model should be consistent to ensure that the user navigates the model with ease. Consistency reduces the problems faced by the users when accessing the website. Structure plays a crucial role in ensuring that the information provided on the website is organized based on the information hierarchy. Accessibility is a critical principle that enhances navigation work in browsers, mobile devices, and disabled java scripts.

Furthermore, specific context should be provided to the reader in summarized features that are highlighted from the content archive. Therefore, ease of navigation should be a priority for the web developers.
Summary
Simplicity, consistency, and efficient structure ensure effective usability of a particular website. As far as the healthcare is concerned, usability provides that the users access information with ease.
