The article, “Crypto lessons from our tech past” discusses the experience of human beings with technology. The author claims that people have tolerated a love and hate relationship with technology over the years. Human beings still fear the speed of technological change thus becoming reluctant to adopt change. There has been the revolution in technology, making some technology to become obsolete. For instance, firms such as Netscape, Lycos, Geocities, eToys, Pets.com, and Webvan have all closed down (Hughes). Web browsers such as Netscape have been replaced by Google which has made browsing easier and enjoyable. On the other hand, other companies such as Amazon and Apple have emerged and developed efficient online services and computer software. Bitcoin has also gained prominence in the cryptocurrency industry in the recent years. The author stresses that there is the need for people to build the foundation for future infrastructure.
The article relates to the course because it outlines how technology has transformed over the years. The introduction of new technology has eased the online services and provision of quality online products and services. For example, the establishment of Apple Company has led to the availability of modern smartphones and Apple Television (Hughes). Additionally, Amazon has introduced the web services which assist companies to store data safely.
The topic is interesting because it helps people plan for the future technological developments.

Businesses will organize themselves to avoid using technologies that will later become outdated. Though forecasting of technology changes, firms can pinpoint the likely challenges in their processes (Hughes). Besides, technological changes in the past years can foster adoption of strategies and processes that ensure effective management of resources. Thus firms can maximize the potential of the services and products offered.
