Human resource management is crucial for any organization. It is of particular importance in sporting organization where almost every activity concerns dealing with human resource. Nonprofit originations often begin operations with the use of volunteers. Since money is an essential motivation to accountability, the virtual of being charitable and utilizing, volunteers can often overshadow the need for proper management. These are the challenges that have encountered ABC Club. The board of directors has focused on the field activities of the team and completely ignored the organizational management of the team. As a result, the number of volunteers had diminished, and the team is deficient of staff. The team does not have any marketing team and thus people are not aware of this need within the club. Besides, the team does not have proper social media channels to advance its mission nor is the recruitment process carried out efficiently. The website is outdated which gives misleading information o interested stakeholders. Apart from this, the fundraising and business department of the club is inefficiently run. A proper human resource management practice is therefore required to rescue the club from the looming doom.
Despite the virtue of non-profit organization, the need for competitiveness and accountability demands proper running of organizations. There are various factors that could help ABC achieve this.

Wait! Soccer Club HR/Customer Base Research paper is just an example!

One of this is systematic hiring process. Despite operating through the use of volunteers, the organization needs to ensure that those carrying out its operations are indeed qualified for the task. The first task at systematic hitting should be the formation of a task force that is geared for this act. It is evident that the current organization system does not hand multitasking very well. This may result when tasks are not well specialized and highly defined. Within the current team, the management should select one or two individuals who can conduct a survey on the organization’s training needs and thus implement the changes required. This is an important task because it will solve most of the problems that are associated with the team currently.
After identifying the human resource needs, the team needs to set out a selection criterion. This can be achieved through the consultation of online media and research on other successful non-profit sporting organizations. The most critical position currently in the club in a marketing personnel. It is possible for the club to match tasks that could be combined to reduce the size of the workforce. Although voluntary workforce does not require salaries, too much of it will be hectic to manage and will require facilities on site. This is unmanageable and therefore the more compressed the workforce, the better for the club.
For example, modern marketing for sporting organizations is more likely to happen on social media where it can get an instant audience from the young people who are more apt to be attracted to sporting activities. The marketing individuals will be more useful if they have sufficient knowledge on website administration. Their task will thus be to update the website, synchronize it with the social media site and conduct vigorous marketing for the club. Once this person is incorporated into the management, he will then be able to advertise the rest of available positions in the organization.
Most organization failure results from discontinued active selection in subsequent hiring. It is, therefore, necessary to retain a recruitment team for future purposes. This task should be differentiated from the task if the BOD which is already overwhelmed by the field operations. Among the most important tasks of the recruitment team will be the continued education of volunteer staff. Volunteering staff often work in a field non-related to their academic and professional background, and this should be supported to achieve full potential. Apart from recruitment of staff, there are many financial needs in a nonprofit organization. Fundraising and management of the acquired resources are thus essential. In most cases, sporting resources are collected and managed by the BOD into eh club. This reduces accountability. This is another segment that needs high differentiation. A duly organized accounting team should be organized and tasked with the responsibility of collecting and distributing resources. This prevents conflict of interests when organizing fundraising activities. It ensures that business aspect of the club does not inhibit the positive development of the club and its athletes.
Besides, an accountable team is one of the ways through which a non-profit organization can enhance customer and donor relationships. Those who support the club and consume its product, as well as the fans, need to trust that their investment is used for the intentions for which it is given. The sporting management is often strained by informal and formal relationships between field and office operations. Research has shown that having clear-cut policies regarding these activities often increases efficiency. This means that ABC needs to have a formally written policy that regards the management of the organization. Besides, this eases relationships with the business and the fundraising departments of the club. In many cases, to sell the club to sponsors, consumers, fans, and other stakeholders require well-defined memorandum and organizational plan. Instead of hiring an entire team to develop a policy, the company could source an external expert on contract. This would reduce the recurrent cost of staff as well as ensure partiality in drawing of the policies.
While there are numerous benefits of working with volunteers, there are multiple challenges, particularly when they are mixed with paid employees. The biggest problem is that the organization reserves little if any more authority to demand better performance from the volunteers. For this reason, ABC must find efficient ways of enticing the volunteers into efficient service. This can be done by offering non-monetary support to the staff such as accommodation and transport packages to and from work. This will leverage the gap between the paid and volunteering staff. Additionally, they should be allocated real work to ensure that there are motivated to remain in the task force. If the volunteers are not assigned important tasks, the club will experience a high turnover of staff which prevents proper formation of organizational culture. Organization culture is essential in sporting activity because it sustains loyalty and fidelity of stakeholders. It has the same purpose as the selection of a solid goal and scope of operations. The aim of having the charity sporting organization should be clearly stated. In other words, there should be the declaration of what problem it solves the community. This scope and mission help the team select and entice sponsors whose organizations have similar development goals as the teams.
