Social norms and their behaviors

Introduction

This evidence is related to the importance acquired by the development of social skills in the classroom of this group, being an aspect treated daily during my stay in the educational center, due to the propensity shown by the students made the little respect and listening active,as well as the lacking emotional and sentimental self-control, demanding the previously indicated characteristics of the realization of dynamics, with the purpose of considering or taking into account these aspects throughout the school time or at specific times.

For this, a dynamic of points are achieved if the behavior throughout the day has been adequate, or the loss due to insults, discussions or fights, destined to perform workshops when the established ones have been reached, (see Annex I). It also highlights the work of respect, obedience and silence through norms (created by the students themselves), generating their compliance with a series of rewards, or sanctions when these are infringed.

On the other hand, it highlights the intervention or realization of dynamics in specific situations, when the behavior is not adequate in the classroom, and with the aim of interfering as little as possible in the development of the class, by using two posters, passingThe names of the children of the ‘great’ poster to “must improve”, with the purpose of modifying the behavior that is being produced. Finally, the work of the management of anger is carried out through the realization of videos, establishing by the students the guidelines to follow to control this emotion, with which they are intended to apply them to real situations.

Developing

As we were taught in the subject of Attention to Diversity, the school is responsible together with the family to favor the development of both behaviors and social attitudes, teaching the student to train personally. This leads to saying that: "Social skills are learned behaviors" (Tapia Capa 1998, P. 4). So having these aspects indicated, they must be teachings in school, becoming in this case through the various dynamics raised.

In what respects the acquisition of social skills, with these it is sought: behavioral learning replacing other acquired behaviors, the learning of behaviors that the person lacks and the improvement of skills that are already available. Being mainly the first and second, characteristics indicated that are worked in this case.

In reference to behavior, and as we learned in the subject of Development and Learemployees in the first described dynamics. 

In addition, since the learning of behaviors depends on the consequences, it also highlights that, ‘the effectiveness of the norms dependent to a large extent of the consequences of their breach (and if not …) and its compliance (and yes …)’ ”(Orts, 2007, p. 56). As in this case, determined by positive or negative consequences, with the objective that they do not lose the effectiveness for which they have been created.

Finally, he of pointing out the importance of social competence, this aspect, through interpersonal feedback, through which observers determine the characteristics of behavior, communicating their expectations on behavior and generating the immediate correction of those who issue it. As occurs through the “must improve” poster, where through the feedback offered by the teacher, the change in behavior is generated.

Through the low development of social skills in students, I have noticed how primordial their treatment is if you really want to achieve an adequate group climate. In this sense, I believe that the way of teaching and that students learn social skills has a great complexity, which increases considerably when students’ reference figures are not involved and therefore do not support their development together with the school. Therefore, I believe that the multiple forms through which they are worked are essential if we want to be treated or at least they are present daily in the classroom.

 Likewise, I believe that the learning of social skills through the main resulting direct experience so that students are gradually regulating the behaviors and behaviors that characterize them, until consolidating and generalizing those, with which they truly establish adequate interactions with people with peoplethat surround them and especially in the center with their peers. In this way and in my opinion, they could effectively develop in social situations, suppressing problematic repercussions about their self – esteem, self-control, etc.
