Question 1: Discuss some of the criticism of feminist theories. How do these criticisms compare to the other theories of IR?
Just like any other theory, the feminism theory has received several criticisms. Since the argument reflects on a wide range of perspectives, it has led to the generation of many internal debates concerning its representation. One of the criticisms from Diana Thorburn argues that there can never be a single voice for the feminist foreign policy due to the diversification of views within feminism itself (Burchill et al. n.p). Martin Griffiths argues that the theory lacks feminine perspective since it does not get sought objectively on the onset of formulating ideas.
The other main criticism against the feminist theory is that it lacks clear leadership. Unlike other movements, for instance, the Civil Rights movement which had Martin Luther King, Jr, feminist requires an international icon who can lead them. Criticism has also been raised on the vocabulary that is being used in the feminist theory (Burchill et al. n.p). Majority of the population cannot understand the vocabularies without checking the dictionary thus making the language inappropriate to some people.
Criticism of the feminist theory compares to realism and liberalism theories in some ways. Realism theory centers its theoretical structure on how the state should seek power and defend its national interest against its competitors on the global anarchy.

Both realism and feminist theories argue that the country is the leading actor in international politics. Liberalism theory emphasizes the role of an individual over that of the state (Burchill et al. n.p). Feminism critiques of liberalism tackle economic inequalities inherent to free trade, which disproportionally affects women.
