For a long time, many individuals didn’t give land survey a thought until they started looking for help from land surveyors at some point. Individuals heard about such cases, but they have always paid little attention and were not able to realize the value. Land surveyance has been practiced for several years and is one of the oldest professions across the globe. If land surveying could be replaced by any other thing that ought to have happened several years back.
After reading chapter three of the provided reading, there are many ideas I came to learn that I didn’t have prior information. All these revolved around land survey and its importance. First, I realized that land surveying could help someone a lot when it comes to protecting one’s investments. For example, purchasing a property such as a piece of land, a commercial space or a house is such a big investment you have ever thought of and all this happens through a land survey (Survey and Land Description Chapter 3 45). Secondly, I came to realize that through the land survey, one is always in a position of knowing that the property on sale is good to buy or not. This information includes if the property is a flood or famine prone area etcetera.
Like any other agreement, the experience I had with a mortgage was also a good lesson for me. This is all from the terms and conditions of an agreement. For instance, learning that a mortgage is a legal agreement by which a bank lends money at interest in exchange for taking the title of the debtor’s property was such a great idea (Survey and Land Description Chapter 3.

P 47). This means that in case the loan is not paid, then the title remains with the debtor, something that is more of a warning to both the lender and the borrower.Work cited
