Texas Government and the Constitution
Legislator
One thing I would change is the process of amending and approving the amendments in the legislator. I would incorporate the executive and the judiciary in revisions to evaluate the worth of the proposed changes. Texas legislator has a straightforward process of amending the constitution. Also, the process of approving is straightforward where it only needs to be passed by the legislator and the voters to accept. The legislator takes this advantage to amend the constitution in their favor since they know that the voters are not keen on reading and understanding the amendments. The judiciary would help to interpret the changes to voters to help them make right judgments.
Executive
I would give the state power to control all other state officials and the ability to make law on issues necessary in the daily activities. Texas governor’s power is limited, and hence I would add more control power on him (KUT, par. 3). More influence on the governor would see that the authorities on the legislator limited to only the ones prescribed on the constitution. With this, the legislator would not be able to make amendments any time they feel that they want favors from certain areas. Any legislation would require a constitutional amendment which would call for governor’s approval. The process would limit the number of changes and frequent legislative which favors the legislators
Judiciary
I would give the judiciary the role of evaluating the constitutional amendments and the language used more so on length.

Wait! Texas Government and Constitution paper is just an example!

The legislator takes advantage of the citizens who may ignore reading the length complex constitution to make modifications. They make amendments to favor themselves and hide within the long complex wording style. Texas constitution is the largest in US (Kelly, par. 2). The judiciary would be able to reduce the words by using the right legal terms making it easy to read. The court would also simplify the constitution from the legislator to a language which the citizens would understand. The law would be hard to amend when written in a simplified form.
