Benefits of Walking Distance Grocery Store
Name
Institution Affiliation
How many of us have ever complained about the walking distance grocery store that exists around the University? I know most of us have complained either to the student leaders or just amongst ourselves. For your information, these walking distance grocery has several benefits to us as students that we might not be aware of and also to the community that surrounds the institution. Most of these importances are not known to the students or in most cases they are being ignored by the students (Katz & Fischer, 2015).
Let us see some of the benefits of these walking distance grocery stores. Some of the reasons why the grocery is situated at a specific location are to enable it to offer its services to the community that lives around the institution as well as the students in Maryland College Park. It would be very difficult for the community to access the grocery in case it was situated in the institution. Another important factor why the grocery is situated at a walking distance is to give it room to get more customers even when the students are on holiday (Brembeck, Hansson & Vayre, 2016). During the holiday the institution get closed and therefore accessing the institution becomes very difficult for the outsiders especially those who are not staff members of the institution and for that matter the grocery store has advantage when it is located outside the institution where the students can easily walk and pick whatever they would like to as well as the community.

Wait! The be paper is just an example!

And also the location of the grocery store outside the institution enables the seller to continue with the business even during the holiday (Martin et al., 2014). In addition to that, there are also some students who reside outside the institution, and therefore it is the same grocery store that supplies them with the foodstuffs that they require. The walking distance location of the grocery store, therefore, acts as an equidistance where all the students can access and acquire the things that they need.
Ladies and gentlemen, I know most of us are ever busy on their academic works and in most cases we don’t find time to do exercise even though we know it is healthy for us. It is recommended that people get to do exercise for the physical fitness and to ensure that the excess fats on our bodies are broken down. In that connection, the walk that we make whenever we are going to buy the foodstuffs is very healthy for our body since it helps break down the excess body fats as well as a way of making us physically fit (Su et al., 2013). Similarly, the sellers in the grocery need to have a strategic place where suppliers can supply the products to the store without causing the distraction to the students during the learning sessions or when the students are doing exams (Carolan et al., 2016).
The location of the grocery at a walking distance also give the students the opportunity to choose where to buy their foodstuffs and therefore lowering the monopolization of the market by a single grocery store that would have been located in the institution (Carolan et al., 2016). The competition among the grocery stores also makes them provide the products of good quality to the students. On the other hand, the positioning of the grocery outside the institution premises also makes it easier for the management of the cleanliness of the institution (Martin et al., 2014).
In conclusion, the location of the grocery store has several benefits to the students and the neighboring families since it helps in improving the cleanliness of the institution, source of exercise and provision of quality products among others.
