#1 I believe when social commentators and politicians mention the Latino and Black families using the phrase “more disorganized” what they mean is that they never make plans for anything. Gerstel describes the Puerto Rican folks as more disorganized than white folks, and that they have weaker family ties since there are higher rates of single parenthood and non-marriage amid their minority groups. In other words, Gerstel means that the white is usually organized to be in marriages and having kids, unlike the minority groups who are always having family disputes and relying on the extended family for help. Politicians often find the phrase useful and consider it a nicer means to describe people. It is nicer for individuals to be referred to as disorganized and not “more careless.” (Sarkisian and Gerstel 455-461).
#2 Sarkisian and Gerstel consider social class more essential than ethnicity in comprehending variances among family. They utilize the proof from the revenue of diverse races, the proportions of high school alumni, and those in possession of Bachelor’s graduation and beyond. They use the evidence to demonstrate how money could transform the academic level of households raising the dissimilarity among folks and their educational achievements. The argument is a significant discrepancy to the scholars since they believe that family income is the deal-breaker deciding on who and what kind of household you have (Sarkisian and Gerstel 455-461).

#3 Some cases of extended family harmonies and caregiving undertakings are related to living, transportation assistance, financial aid, and many others. The most frequent ones in my household involve numerous contact, transportation assistance, and emotional care. They are members of your extended family you do not have to be afraid to keep in touch with them! They are your family too and possess the same blood as you do. The use of extended family to gain financial favors is not frequent in my clan, but I do not think it is wrong to seek for help once in a while since maybe they need to focus on their main families too. I do not support their analysis because it brings up the issue of race and compares it to an extended family (Sarkisian and Gerstel 455-461).
#5 “Looking for Work,” by Gary Soto, can be mentioned as disorganized because the folk was not together. The whole family was out of place while the mother could be related to a single mom with Soto focused on making his household be the Americans portrayed on TV (Sarkisian and Gerstel 455-461).
