Jerome David Salinger was an American writer born in New York in 1919. Known mainly for his only long novel and at the same time, his most famous work, The Cather.

Salinger would also publish some collections of short stories and novels without reaching the notoriety of his distinguished work. Subsequently, the outside world would be held and the population of Cornish, Nueva Hampshire, where he died in 2010.

The guardian among rye tells in the first person, the experiences of a 16 -year -old New York teenager named Holden Cauldield. who has been expelled from the school where he studied his high school in Pennsylvania, as had been from other schools in the past.
