i. Students/professionals who struggle with meeting deadlines
ii. Those who wish to learn proper balance between work and life
b. Occasion
i. The presentation will occur in academia during an open class session.
ii. Audience will be primarily composed of a professor and a group of students
iii. Speech will be designed to speak to history, successful implementations, failures, and steps necessary to acquire more time
2) Topic Selection and Main Ideas
a. Purpose and Topic of Research
i. The topic of research is time management. Mastery of time management is critical for a successful life and professional career.
ii. Failure to effectively organize one’s time results in missed deadlines, inefficient workflow, poor quality of work, a weak reputation, and heightened stress levels.
iii. Main idea: create and adhere to a proper schedule that will allow one to prioritize and avoid procrastination of the most essential activities. Give room for flexibility but be realistic in understanding the cost of an activity that is nonessential to one’s work and life.
