Universal Healthcare
The National Health Care Plan that was introduced in 2010 in the United States through the enactment of the patient protection and Affordable Act also known as Obama care has attracted diverse opinions since its implementation (Horton et al., 2014). There is need to develop a national health care plan to improve the quality of healthcarebeing provided to the American citizens and which is affordable to all the people of all levels of the social-economic status.
Studies have confirmed that the system of healthcare provision is the most costly all over the world owing to the fact the cost of health care for a single person is more expensive in comparison to other countries globally. This cost brings about the formulation and adoption of a national healthcare plan to ensure universal public coverage of citizens regarding healthcare (Blendon & Robert 2017). The Obama care was introduced in 2010 by President Barack Obama to solve the health crisis as a response to one of the worst practices by the health insurance companies in the country.
However, this plan has helped solve the problem of more affordable health care primarily to the low and moderate income earning enrollees. Obama Care has faced a fierce backlash especially among the middle-income earners who term it as a welfare program meant to use the taxes of the hardworking civilians to help the lazy in the society (Horton et al., 2014). Currently, the debate is ongoing over the repeal and replacement of the health care program.

Wait! Universal health care paper is just an example!

While Obama Care remains the best healthcare system for me, there should be more effort towards standardization of the premiums and premiums paid by all citizens regardless of their economic status.
The implementation of the Obama care has led to increased number of jobs and overall budgetary allocations in the health sector in the United States. The nursing profession has also hugely benefited from increased funding by the government. Nurses obtain loans to further their studies and nursing students from poor backgrounds get opportunities to study owing to the low-interest education loans. Therefore the national health care plan should be encouraged to cater to providing affordable health care for all American citizens.
