Personality, Values and Work Ethics
Values are energetic traits which make us ambitious and willing to achieve our aspirations as well as intentions (Rokeach, 2008). Personality is long-term traits or patterns which drive people to uprightly and continuously think, behave and feel in a particular way (Higgins, 2008). Work ethic, on the other hand, is a belief which states that diligence together with hard work has a particular moral benefit and ability to inherit value and virtue which in turn helps to strengthen a character (Rokhman, 2010). As much as values may be self-governing, they tend to vary in some instances. Certainly, personality, values as well as ethics are more of similar elements which rely on each other.
My values have changed as I have matured. For example, my value of the right conduct has changed. In the past, I used to poorly behave for instance I remember when I used to serve food first on my plate before the visitors could serve themselves. This was wrong conduct because it was selfish of me to serve the visitors. Over time today, my value of conduct has changed from the poor conduct of serving before the visitors or the family to serving after them.
On the other hand, my value of truthfulness has stayed the same over time. Telling the truth has been my character since I was a kid. I used, to be honest, and truthful to the extent that after I was sent to the shop and back, I would return the change in its correct amount without telling a lie that some money might have gotten lost.

Wait! Your Personality and Values Psy 3 paper is just an example!

A different value that I have from those of my parents and siblings is peace. Since I was little, I have been peaceful regardless of any situation which presents itself. This is a value that from my keen observation is not with my siblings or parents. Love as a value affects the cohesiveness of workplaces as a desirable value since everyone feels good when loved especially in a work environment. Organisations usually need a favorable environment full of love as a feeling because love cures and unites people together. At work, when one feels loved, they tend to feel appreciated, and their confidence grows with time which in turn, makes them deliver at work.
In conclusion, values, personality, and work ethics are important because they are characters, beliefs, traits, and patterns which make us live in a moral and friendly manner. Therefore people across the world should learn to embrace their values to be better people and to help make a better world.
