To talk about data on gender violence in the youth population we will focus on the macro -convention of violence against women 2015, which has been carried out every four years since 1999, being its main objective to know the percentage of women residing in Spain who have suffered orThey suffer some kind of violence only because of being women. This survey establishes that gender violence is quite present among women between the ages of 16 and 24, that there is a great presence of sexism among young people, and that they do not clearly perceive the inequality that exists between a sexAnd another as perhaps an adult could do it. They are also not aware of the risks that new technologies have, lately quite used to exercise violence, and also normalize certain behaviors that lead to insults and control over other people.

In this macro -convent, we observe how 11.7% of girls between the ages of 16 and 24 have been victims of some kind of physical or sexual violence by their partners, but the total number of women are taken into accountresidents in Spain who exceed 16 years that percentage increases to 13%. It is true that the incidence of violence that is exercised in this group of young people is less than the total set of women, something that is obvious since they are younger have not had as many years of relationship as an adult person could have. We are, therefore, before a quite worrying panorama since the percentage of young women suffering from these types of violence is even higher than that of the average Spanish women.

On the other hand, as I have said previously there are sexist roles among the youngest, a problem that also affects gender violence that occurs between them because of a dangerous cultural heritage that is received from families. Here, the survey on the evolution of Spanish adolescence about equality and prevention of gender violence, made in 2013 to more than 8000 elementary students, baccalaureate and professional training, indicates that 30% of young people (especiallyguys) tend to think that "the man who seems more aggressive is more attractive", or the fact of thinking that "it is fine that the boys go out with many girls" but "the girls cannot go out with many boys" or the idea ofthat "a good father should let the rest of his family know who is the one who commands".

In the same way, this survey constitutes that among the young population there is a low perception in terms of inequality between men and women. In general, this perception is much less among those who are aged between 15 and 29 years than in the rest of the adults. Even so, you have to be optimistic and see how the difference between them is large, 63% of girls perceive it and 44% of the boys too. However, although there is some optimism in that aspect, it is not in others, since 60% of the youth population considers that women have more difficulties in accessing jobs with some responsibility, as well as work promotions.

Likewise, this inequality is strong and evident due to the cultural ideals that young people receive and that suppose the acceptance of such violence. The aforementioned survey indicates that eight out of ten young people have heard at some point in his life council of the type "if someone hits you you have to answer also hitting", that 13% of the Spanish youth population states not to consider mistreatThe girl with whom she has a relationship or provoke fear.
