The risk is perhaps a warning of injury, damage, liability loss which is brought about by vulnerabilities that can be prevented through a preemptive process. In rural areas, there is a risk of transportation barrier which is an environmental challenge. People who live in rural areas where there is only one clinic face the challenge of transportation to seek medication. They tent to take a long time and distance for them to reach a more advanced health center located in urban areas to find for better clinical health services or even essential medical conditions that require particular attention from big hospitals.
The solution for this is to introduce telemedicine in such areas to manage the risk. Telemedicine is the process of using telecommunication technologies and electronic information in supporting long-distance healthcare as well as clinical relationships. Telemedicine is a suggested way of conquering transportation barriers that affect both healthcare providers and patients in rural localities and those in geographically isolated regions (Scopelliti et al., 2004). Telemedicine cater for education, clinical, and administrative benefits in rural areas. First, telemedicine lightens clinical services burden by making use of electronic technology through direct interaction. The interaction is between health care providers like, specialist and primary health providers, technologists, and nurses and patients as well in diagnosing, managing, and treating of illness and diseases.

Secondly, the benefit of telemedicine on the service of education includes the conveyance of healthcare-associated lectures and workshops using videos and also teleconferencing, webcasting, and practical incentive.
In rural regions, the medical profession can use pre-recorded lectures for health care or medical students found in remote areas. Healthcare practitioners in metropolitan and urban areas can utilize diagnostic stimulation and teleconferences to help understaffed healthcare centers located in rural communities to diagnose as well as treat patients just from a distance. Not only do telemedicine support in the cooperation among health providers given making use of electronic medical records but also it may offer benefits in interviewing the medical professions within the remote sites for vacancy position.
