A self-Concept centered short film

The short film "The Mariposa Circus", the protagonist’s circus is not exactly a circus. This is a place where marginalized and repudiated people are concentrated by society. People who are outside the system and who are for some defect or physical particularity. This is how people want them to see them and, what is worse, this is how the characters who are part of this peculiar circus end see.

"You are magnificent" is the phrase says the MR. Méndez to Will the first time he sees him in the circus. Will is not able to understand this phrase because his self-concept prevents it. But mr. Méndez sees Will with other eyes, with eyes that are able to see far beyond pure appearance, far beyond physical appearance.

The phrase "Do not be so obtained to see the beauty that can come from the ashes" is a phrase full of optimism, loaded with energy and hope. A phrase that teaches you that even the worst past can be overcome, that even from the ashes of the past you can create the beauty of the present from precisely from the self-concept that you have of yourself, how you see yourself and not howYou think those around you see you. For me this is the great lesson of the butterfly circus. For me this is SR’s great lesson. Méndez and this short film.

"The greater the fight, the more glorious the triumph is". Another extraordinary phrase than the MR. Méndez tells Will knowing that he will have to strive much more than others to overcome the self-concept of himself, the little self – esteem in him.

Wait! A Self -Concept Centered Short Film paper is just an example!

It is a phrase that invites struggle, effort and spirit of overcoming. And the most important thing is that the MR. Méndez is telling Will that he can do this path of overcoming his hand and that of his butterfly circus.

When Will realizes that there is something in this world that he didn’t know if he knew how to do: swim. And he has discovered that he knew how to swim because he has taken his risks, has made the determination to change what he thinks about him, regardless of what others think or say.
