Limited relevance of research information to practice in health care prevents achievement of the 90 percent evidence-based practice (Scurlock-Evans, Upton & Upton, 2014). There is no enough information in the health systems to be used by the nurses. Most of the nurses are not recording evidence about a successful treatment, but they keep the information on their own. Also, the research-based information in the health systems is not relevant to most of the issues which nurses are coming across every day. The information in the systems is not up to date with the current state of a disorder due to the changing public health. Most of the data recorded by the nurses are not well analyzed and documented in a way which can be understood by other health practitioners. The barrier can be addressed by first, passing a policy which will require all nurses to record any successful treatment in the health information system. A set of specialized nurses should also be established to research the documented researches to update them. Nurses should also be trained on how to have a uniform way of recording the research to make everybody access the information.
Limited time to search and use information is another barrier to achieving evidence-based practice. Exploring the information on the computer or from other health records have been noted to consume much time making the nurses abandon the practice (Scurlock-Evans et al.

Most nurses prefer to use their previous knowledge instead of taking the time to match a treatment procedure. The report should also be stored in a simplified way to minimize the time for synthesizing.
