Introduction
The message in the Bible passages of Jeremiah, Isaiah, Job, Psalms, and Nehemiah is that the future was bright for those people who believed in God. The passages offered hope and solace for a better life for people believing in Christ. Also, the passages emphasize the existence of one supreme God the Almighty. The passages were written by Bernhard Anderson, a firm believer in Christ. It was written for devout Christians who believed in the existence of one supreme God. Also, the people who believed they would leave Egypt to Canaan. It was written in 6th-century BC. It was originally written in Hebrew in the nation of Israelites.
Question and Answer
The question that is being addressed in the message is whether people believe in the existence of one God or many gods. According to the author, the existence of one God seems to have been overtaken by events. The author claims that people believe in the existence of many gods, unlike before, when people only knew one God. The advent of civilization and modernization is responsible for making people believe in the existence of many gods. However, he goes on to assert that people have come to terms that there is only one supreme God who controls humanity (Anderson 2006). People in Egypt and Rome have always believed in the existence of one God the Almighty. There are many religions throughout the world that do not come up with anything new concerning God. All these religions seem to agree that there is one God.

In fact, there have been no notable changes in the belief concerning monotheism regarding Christ. Also, the author tries to deconstruct various issues that exist in the Bible. One such issue is whether Moses existed or not. To a larger extent, the author seems to claim that Moses did not exist. He claims that there is no evidence in the Bible that indeed he existed. The author claims that even Egyptians do not mention his existence. Also, he argues that the exodus does not demonstrate any tangible evidence of his existence.
Basis
People believe in the existence of many gods rather than one God. Even though many Christians profess a faith where there is only one God, most people who attend churches think otherwise. These people believe that many gods exist in the universe. However, they seem to agree that there is only one supreme God. It is a basis that makes people worship other gods which are against the teachings of Christ (Anderson 2006). Some Christians are known to attend churches faithfully but go ahead to adore other earthly beings. There is a wide held belief that the supernatural beings that people worship can offer help in competition with God. This is wrong as the bible only recognize the existence of one supreme God who controls everything in the universe. Equally, the Bible recognizes the existence of Moses who saved the children of Israel.
Significance
The debate of the existence of one or many gods is an emotional one among many Christians. Most Christians believe in the existence of one God who controls everything in the world. However, there are those firm believers who believe in one God the Almighty (Anderson 2006). Equally, there is no dispute about whether Moses existed or not. The Bible is so full of evidence demonstrating the existence of Moses. Moses is a prominent figure in the Bible as he featured prominently in exodus and the children of Israel from Egypt to Canaan.
