Reflection on Lessons Learned from Peter Drucker
Name
Institution

Being an indispensable individual is very important because it means that one is reliable and effective at what he or she does. One way through which this can be achieved is by knowing one’s capabilities and interests and working towards improving and being better in them. Hence, the reason why this paper seeks to discuss two attributes that I have learned and can use to gain personal development in pertinent areas of my interest as a nurse.
One of these areas and which I am familiar with is “Do what you are made for.” When I embarked on the nursing career, I never had a specific interest in mind. All I thought was that I would be helping others improve their quality of life as far as healthcare was concerned. Over time, nonetheless, I have come to realize that I am not good in various domains of nursing, especially when it comes to injections and wound management. On the other hand, I am very good at relating to the patients and educating them about their ailments and helping them to make informed decisions (Kemppainen, Tossavainen, Turunen, 2013). As a result, I am learning to refine my communication, presentation, and training skills because I believe this is my area of career growth and development.
Another thing about me is that when I set my mind to something, I ensure that I work to perfection to ensure that I succeed in it (Collins, 2016). Thereby, in reference to being a nurse educator/health promotion nurse, I am always reviewing my meetings and training sessions to identify pitfalls that I can address to improve my skills.

Wait! Chapter 3 Assignment paper is just an example!

I enjoy overcoming these pitfalls because devising ways to be an excellent educator and health promoter is my weakness and the way through which one can be better at what he or she does as indicated by Andersen (2013).
It is important to know what one is good at so as to be better and learn how to overcome challenges as they emerge. Like Jordan who was born a basketball player, I am able to deal with hurdles as they come to challenge my roles as either a nurse educator or health promotion nurse. Hence, I will work towards being an indispensable specialist in my field.
