Managers have to employ different modes of communication in the workplace in order to achieve targets and communicate their commitment to being humble and having a steadfast resolve. There is a combination of communication means that are viable for level five leaders including, electronic and face-to-face communication. Some studies have drawn conclusions that neither of the strategies has the capacity to incorporate the values of adaptability and ambition (Thompson 1998).
The advent of the internet has seen it gain traction and use worldwide, a phenomenon that has led to a huge chunk of the population taking to the internet and a sizeable portion of the teenagers emerging as its consumers. This serves as an indicator that the internet bolsters interpersonal communication that knows no age boundaries. Moreover, social media has also made computer-mediated communication gain use widely thus providing an alternative channel. However, use of social media has seen the misuse of work time and brought up privacy rights issues.
On the other hand, human resource managers target excellent interpersonal skills when hiring due to their association with personal communication. The attributes also have an association with the face-to-face method of communication that helps in the development of closer working relationships and easier dissemination of information related to work.

The employment of this mode means there is an assurance of getting direct feedback and communication is be two way.
Modern management presents the challenge of having to contend with technological change (Thompson 1998). The managers have to convert the rapid change into tangible knowledge that can produce positive results. Management have to embrace the transformation and set long-term goals influenced by this change. The conclusion draws from that fact that teenagers who are the future are huge users of electronic communication and provide an avenue for the achievement of credit by managers.
