This essay presents a succinct examination and exploration of the response, renewal, and transformation of literary works from antiquity in the Middle Ages (post 500 CE). Besides, the essay will examine ways in which these works reflect the historical contexts as evident from different literature. In most cases, the term ancient has been integrated to refer to larger areas, which are old, particularly when the civilization organized differently in the past from the modern or contemporary such as Ancient Greece, Ancient Israel, and Ancient Egypt. The recent studies have focused on portraying traditional entities as autonomous and self-regulating, which sought to re-situate within the context of the wider regional, as well as international economies and histories. There are various characteristics concerning the antiquity period in history. In the first instance, there were symbiotic relationships among the society members. This is highly evident in the development and presentation of the literary works among members of the society by the traditional writers.
It is valuable to note that arts of formal speech did play a critical role in the ancient life regarding the case of the antiquity historical context. Furthermore, the essay examined ways in which these works reflect the historical contexts. From the findings of the study, the literary works focused on the evaluation of the concept of humanism and environmental protection. It was reasonably necessary for the authors to concentrate on the assessment of their relationship with the environment, as well as their perception of the issues affecting the society. From this perspective, it was ideal for the authors of the literary works to concentrate on the presentation of the positive image of the society.
