SELECTIVE PERMEABILITY
The experiment put to question the selective permeability of water, starch, glucose, and iodine (Student helper, 2018 para.1). The wake of this trial is that this bag is permeable to iodine. Proceeds of the experiment no doubt answer the problems. The hypothesis is that iodine will get into the bag because it is permeable to iodine. During the summation of iodine to a liquid containing starch, it turns blue-black or purple contrarily it remains yellow (Student helper, 2018 para.19). The dialysis tubing is a semipermeable membrane that shows the detachment techniques and movement of molecules across a membrane. The bag represents a cell membrane. A selectively permeable membrane controls what joins or exits a particular cell and that it only permits small particles through (Student helper, 2018 para.3). The bag turns blue due to the presence of iodine solution while the water solution turns the yellow indicating presence of glucose which one can recognize via a benedict test. The starch solution in the bag turns purple to indicate the presence of iodine in the mixture confirms the determination. This starch solution is the weak variable because of iodine influence on it. When the color changes in both the beaker and bag, it indicates that the dialysis tubing is only permeable to iodine and glucose. The molecules of starch are much larger than those of iodine and water thus cannot pass through. Because of these results, it is apparent that the tubing not only impermeable to starch but is permeable to iodine.

In another word, meaning the starch cannot go through the bag. A cell membrane is selectively-permeable, in that it acts as a barrier of some sort to allow or deny entry to some elements.
