Abstract
Leadership is a process that identifies a person to have an impact on people’s lives. Some leadership theories have tried to establish whether leaders are made or born. Few are born, but many grow to become leaders through life experiences and knowledge gained. There are different types of leaders; democratic, dictatorial, laissez-faire, and autocratic. Leaders who are task-oriented and those who are employee-oriented. For our task below, the leaders mentioned above are not our concern, but it is the leader in oneself.
Leadership should be viewed in a general way so that we tend not to look at it through those who are in high positions but also for anyone who has a positive impact on someone’s life at the grassroots. At one time in life, one needs to carry out a leadership evaluation test if one is ambitious for the future which enables one to achieve personal growth and inspiring others at large. Using one’s self-ratings on how one assumes who you are against what others think of you. This can only be done evaluating how others perceive you may be using questionnaires as done below. Self-rating is usually higher, and usually one is not sincere with oneself as anyone tends to put only things that are positive.
The activity can be done by involving those people who are close and those who know you; classmates, roommates, friends or even workmates. One will identify strengths and weaknesses for further improvements by either putting more effort on strengths and identifying areas that need changes in weaknesses.

Wait! Leadership reflection paper is just an example!

Questionnaires are the best option since they allow one to have open and closed-ended questions as well as filling in at one’s appropriate time compared to interview. Doing this helps someone to have clarification on behavior which may be irritating to others, and one could have thought otherwise. Below is a self- evaluation results, conclusion and recommendation.
Leadership reflection
From the data collected in the questionnaires, my self-ratings are higher than the others average ratings on; articulate, self-assured, persistent, friendly, conscientious, diligent and empathetic. My self-ratings are lower compared to others self-ratings on; self-confidence, determined, trustworthy, dependable and outgoing. This activity will enable me to have an assessment of my leadership traits on how to improve as I get to understand my weaknesses and my strengths. According to Marshall Sashkin (2014), a person’s leadership profile information can be used to analyze and modify your leadership behavior to develop those personal characteristics associated with transformational leadership and how to improve one’s leadership skills.
Through this activity, I will identify what I have and what I don’t have which does not indicate failure but rather areas of improvement. High scores on other ratings will indicate behaviors and characteristics that have a positive impact on others. This will assist me in growing these assets or probably investing more in them. On the other hand of weaknesses, identify what am doing wrong or what I am not doing, and further inquiry may be important from my raters and practice honesty with myself.
Further, to improve and enhance changes to my new behavior, it would require me to identify a role model who practices my weaknesses and is perceived to be a leader in the area. This would enhance me in learning how he exercises all those and the actions to emulate. Partnering with such an individual will enhance more improvement in the area. Later I can research to rate my improvements to identify progress in leadership traits. This will be a great achievement in my life as will lead to personal satisfaction and others at large.
