For one to be a leader, which mostly is a calling, not only does the wordings proposed need to be visional but the actions also have to be in line with them. This document, therefore, dives into the leadership themes that I need to enhance. Improving my leadership skills for more visionary and accomplishable goals. Pursuing this improvement is a critical factor that would enable development in all individuals, those being led and I, and in the process, I expect a gradual increase of passion in leading.
One of the themes that require improvement is public speaking. Since a leader usually is necessary to address an audience, some areas need to be adjusted as here is where the judgment of personal leadership traits begins. For a better public speaking, proper planning should be paramount. Before stepping forward for any presentation, like a catchy introduction before a movie or novel or any written material, the content to be availed needs to be catchy to me. First I have to feel the rhythm of facts, ideas and many more envisioned long-term and short-term goals. To achieve this, I need to look into structured communication methods. Creating slides of power points, doing slight rehearsals and researching on the topic at hand enables getting an idea of queries that may be posed by my audience.
Public speaking also involves engaging the audience, a trick that helps to ease the pressure of presenting in public CITATION Sar11 l 1033 (Lloyd-Hughes, 2011).

Furthermore, perfecting on this trait enables participation of the audience, creating a doorway to getting to know them better. This plan helps to hold a secondary objective or short-term goals together for a greater achievement of a long-term target. For individuals to entrust the pleasure of one to lead them, they first determine the way of thinking, behavior and prowess of the contending. I, therefore, have to improve in my strategic planning by having short-term goals. These less lengthy achievable aims would determine my success rate. This tracking can be taken as a form of communication to oneself, indicating the level of performance. Moreover, it influences constant awareness of current progressions. Explanations can be by the use of posters, holding public meetings that focus on breaking down the later. Social media too can provide a favorable media for interpretation and accessibility. If the leader is working with a team, and there exists a challenge, I need not start or develop another strategy because there might only be a small portion of the planning that is bringing the barrier. Therefore, I need to make it a routine of doing everything harder and doing them for more daily durations of time to cover more ground than others. Secondly, for any work present in a day, I have to set a goal of completing it within the 24-hour duration. This limitation of time should confine me to focus on the work completion in a shorter amount of time preventing any chance for procrastinations. Self-rewarding after its completion plays a significant role in relaxing the mind before another challenge pops up.
After self-motivation, a leader has to be able to motivate others at an equal or, even more, intensity. There are different ways through which I can perfect this behavior. One of them is through appreciation of others. The recognition needs not to be too much as it would come out as a pointless strategy to employees or colleagues. If the appreciation is too much, It will come out as a lie or just a managerial trick of the addition of work. Therefore, I need to appreciate in the right way and intensity. A simple appreciation of thanking any individual could make an impressive effect as it shows the way one values any contribution because it is important to maintain proper communication paths in work or social gatherings. Then here comes involvement. To get involved as a leader, I have to work hand in hand with every colleague or employee to help them develop a personal work plan CITATION Dav03 l 1033 (Thompson, 2003). Contributing to this planning would assist in raising their amount of competence in performance. Other than that, executing such behavior also produces the skills of various individuals motivating them to work harder.
The above leadership themes that are public speaking, strategic planning and motivation if enhanced appropriately would make me a be a better leader, thereby taking people to areas they would not reach or dare attempt accomplishing on their own.
