To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing in the recommendation of Christina XXXXX for admission into the Florida International University’s MSN-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program. I have known Christina both personally and professionally for over five years now. I had the pleasure to work with Christina from August 2011 to August 2013 as the Director of Emergency Services at American Red Cross and more recently on a voluntary basis through her work with veterans.
She has served the Armed Forces in the position of Planner for the American Red Cross of South Florida. In that capacity, she exemplified outstanding skills that were required to work within our community. Her tenacious spirit and strong leadership qualities are validated in the thousands of veterans’ lives she has touched through her service locally. For instance, I have witnessed her high levels of tolerance when handling patients and other people in general. Christina’s immense drive and ambition to serve humanity, coupled with a strong business acumen inspired me to appoint her to the post of Deputy Director to the Florida Veterans Foundation. Which is a direct organization of the Department of Veterans Affairs which she held during 2012, a position she still serves to date.
While serving as Deputy Director, she applied her multidisciplinary skills to acquire resources required to assist the veterans of Florida. For instance, she noticed veterans suffering from stress and depression as a result of the post-service experiences in the military.

She recommended the psychiatrist to help diagnose and facilitate an intervention program for such cases. Christina works as a community liaison to assist in the implementation of supportive services like housing, dental care, and mental health support, that has the long-term effect in their health and life expectancy. Once she secures an opportunity to learn under the MSN – Psychiatric program she can be able to provide better nursing services especially for psychiatric patients among the veterans and our Florida community.
Before joining the American Red Cross Christina worked for a pharmaceutical company. She applied her business knowledge and extensive interpersonal skills that contributed to the organization’s realizing its goals and objectives. She has been an asset to my team, and I believe that she would be an excellent candidate for your MBA program. Florida University’s MSN will be the next step to further her career in her quest to give back to the community. I am certain that she will get good grades and in her practice, Florida University will claim the full glory and adoration for the modeling of a quality healthcare provider.
