Liberal leadership in Colombia’s disciplines and sciences

Leadership is a topic of interest in all areas, disciplines and sciences of humanity. That is, because it is leadership that moves humanity. In all activities where there is interaction and an objective, a leadership structure arises, which is why leadership is defined as a psychosocial phenomenon.

Likewise, in the field of organizations, it is said that leadership is able to create, change, personify and integrate organizational cultures (MASUS, 2018);that is, leadership is transformationist. Not only does it turn, but it rules how the process of following that course will be. To the extent that an organization, whatever its nature, has a healthy leadership, its strategic planning falls reliably.

On the other hand, being a phenomenon that moves the world so much, different explanatory theories have been discovered. Among them there is the theory of the goal, which assumes that leadership is a set of behaviors that complement the work environment, on which the effectiveness of a leader will depend. Thus, the behaviors are the following: task clarification behaviors, achievement oriented behaviors, work facilitating behaviors, personal support behaviors, interaction facilitating behaviors between group members and leadership based on values.

Taking into account the above, the most effective leaders will be those that are perceived as competent in the tasks, with high motivation to achievement, when the demands of work are predictable, when the work is not perceived as dangerous, monotonous or stressful, when there isInterdependence between group members when carrying out the work and in the absence of external rewards (Masus, 2018).

Wait! Liberal Leadership In Colombia’S Disciplines And Sciences paper is just an example!

In this line of ideas, another way of defining a good leader, is identified if he is a socially intelligent leader. This term refers to based on acting in empathy and tuning between the leader and the working group; This refers to the leader’s ability to understand and understand what motivates other people, listen carefully and think about how others feel;as well as, be sensitive to your needs, be tune in with the moods of others (Goleman and Boyatzis, 2008).

In this way, the socially intelligent leader, part of these capacities to carry out leadership based on what is perceived with respect to the work group and know how to take advantage of both attitudes and aptitudes for achievement;Likewise, it exposes behaviors of technical, cognitive and instrumental competences, which your working group will receive safely and confidence in the leader.

Now, taking into account the theories that expose leadership, the indicators must also be taken into account that it is working properly. Among them are organizational consciousness: that is, appreciate the culture and values of the group and the organization, understand social networks and know their tacit norms; The influence: convince others promoting their participation in discussions and appealing to their personal interests, obtaining the support of key people; The development of other people: act as a mentor involved and invest personal time and energy in it, to deliver feedback that people find useful for their professional development;Inspiration: articulate an attractive vision, build group spirit and foster a positive emotional tone and teamwork: request contributions from their team, support all team members and encourage cooperation (Goleman and Boyatzis, 2008).

Therefore, multiple sciences study leadership, with the aim of knowing it better and, therefore, apply it better. It has been found then that the advantages of well -exercised leadership for a company can be significant in different strategic aspects. These advantages have been studied, for example, in Colombian companies.

Escandon-Barbosa and Hurtado-Ayala (2016) took a database of 306 Colombian export companies and through a bietapic conglomerates analysis the different types of leadership were analyzed: democratic, autocratic and liberal with respect to their export performance. The results obtained in this study allowed us to conclude that Colombian companies with high export performance are those that work based on a combination and balance between liberal and democratic leadership.

Starting from this conclusion, Colombian exporting companies reach high performance when they are led by managers who act maintaining the balance between freedom and control, that is, when they allow their work teams to contribute their ideas and participate in decisions, usingThese ideas to make the necessary decisions that lead the internationally competitive activity.

On the other hand, companies with low export performance are those that assume a liberal leadership, and in this way, it is concluded that to achieve higher performance levels Colombian managers exercise leadership as a balance between freedom and control; From Manea that, the leaders of Colombian companies greatly trust their work teams, maintain a high level of participation of their employees in management and this is the basis of their success (Escandon-Barbosa and Hurtado-Ayala, 2016).

However, leadership constitutes a dynamic process that influences and guides the activities of the organization; To do this, it is necessary that this leadership provide your knowledge about the procedures, which knows how to intervene and motivate people, as well as appreciate the different skills of your team and know how to guide your skills towards achievement;Taking advantage of opportunities and innovations, which thus becomes a competitive advantage and allows you to obtain the best of people.
