Individuals utilize prioritization in organizations. “While organizational skills are a virtue that derives from good habits, prioritization is far more specific and takes organization and applies it to a specific task” (Johnson, 2011, 2). They create four master lists that guide them. Individuals create a master list where they record everything they want to undertake in the future. In the master list, every idea is or new responsibility, or task is captured. From the master list, a monthly list is created that capture tasks to be completed in the month ahead. From the monthly list, a weekly list is created that enable the individuals to plan their entire week in advance. Finally, tasks and items from weekly and monthly lists are transferred into a daily list. These happen to be specific actions that individuals are going to complete that day. The individuals prioritize what to do by organizing the tasks by sequence and priority. They place the utmost important responsibilities at the topmost, and the other errands at the bottommost. “Prioritization helps everyone to plan. It is a good way to ensure that deadlines are met, and stress is minimized” (Dinkel, 2016, 4). These activities give individuals a visual image of achievement and advance their organizational skills. It creates a sensation of success and onward motion.
Prioritizing in organizations is indeed influenced by personality. Personality influences all facets of an individual’s performance, even how she or he responds to circumstances on the task.

Some persons are bound to contemplate about the big image, to understand not just the current responsibilities but the imminent tasks. They make inventive, broad plans intended to maintain the organization moving forward. “Effective use of time for each manager is the most important base for managing current affairs and controlling daily activities” (Bahadori, Salesi, & Ravangard, 2015, 3). Other individuals are careless and disorganized. Such people find it difficult to prioritize tasks, and they don’t succeed in their responsibilities. Therefore, personality influence prioritization and organization extensively.

It is important for a manager to understand the values of their team. This is because not every person is appropriate for each position in a company, so it’s significant to recognize character qualities and pair workers with the responsibilities that are suitable to their personalities (Munroe, 2012, 1). Performance is therefore affected by the pairing of employees in a team. However, a manager’s understanding of these personalities could lead to improved productivity and work satisfaction, aiding the organization to operate more efficiently.
