The media are exerting great influence on the young people of society. They are characterized because it is not limited to an amount of information to which you can have access and the speed with which the recipients can be reached. An example of the media are social networks. These have increased their fame in a remarkable way since the arrival of the digital era and practically are part of people’s daily routine. Normally people use it to share an achievement, their emotional state and even to see the news and comment on them. This has become a very common act and therefore I decided to create an argumentative text about the article modernity and mass media: the context by Lorenza Parisi.

Technology has been crucial for the evolution of the human race since it has helped humanity to adapt effectively. The development of technology has cooperated to break communication barriers and reduce the gap between people around the world. The distant areas have become close and the things that took a long time to be completed, can now be completed in seconds.

Also, in modern society technology is crucial, the evolution of technology has contributed society to health issues. The standard of living has improved since needs are met more easily.

Spending so much time sailing on social networks, disconnects what happens around us and affects our relationship with humanity. Socializing through social networks is useful, but abusing them can cause negative effects, for example, changing spontaneous conversations with a person for a chat, or facial expressions by emoticons.

Similarly, social networks affect our health. According to a study that appears in the 2017 BBC news of the Royal Society of Public Health in the United Kingdom, applications such as Snapchat and Instagram are the most likely social networks of inspiring feelings of anxiety and being inappropriate, because of seeing images of other people’s lives. Social networks also frailize our privacy, that is, we share personal information with thousands of people and erase history is not easy. Get rid of previous publications could make us lose a job or not grant a job.

In the media, false news is frequently used and it is important that society knows this phenomenon “[…] It is important to analyze the needs, values ​​and objects through which individuals […] process the contents disseminated by the media ". False news exists since the media were created and the speed with which the news has increased in recent years. False news can cause society to change their way of thinking and acting in different situations or problems. False news becomes viral by how they use tricks and deceptions so that the recipient reads them and sharing. They usually use words or misfortunes that occur today, but more exaggerated. An example of false news is the fire that occurred in the Amazon jungle which instantly viralized and had a great impact on social networks. Many of the images that viralized corresponded to other natural disasters that were not taken in Brazil.
