Expectation of Realities (Thesis Statement): Characters in both stories had expectations because they get shocked when things don’t turn out as expected, it is normal to have expectations but get different results, and as much as we expect some things to happen, we should give room for possibilities.
Appearance (Thesis Statement): Although people take the appearance in society for granted, it is an essential aspect because it influences the way we see things and even other people in society.
Expectation and Realities
Both stories show characters having high expectation on finding things in their usual condition. They are surprised when they discover that what they expected is not they find. Considering the story: meeting 100% perfect girl, the author was expecting to meet a wonderful lady, but when he meets her she is far from his expectation. In Hellgoing, Theresa’s family members are troublesome, and she expected the same situation when she came back from her journey. When she reached home things were different. In the real world, this is what happens with people expecting either positive or negative things, but their expectations sometimes fail.
In the first article, we are shown how the aspect of beauty is highly regarded in society while the second article explains the state of events in most families. The article shows how men blindly get into relationships through physical appearance. On the other side, the second article displays challenges mostly experienced by people.

Though these challenges might seem difficult to handle, they are overcome when people use dialogue.
Both articles show that society has certain expectations for every individual. These expectations can be beneficial or disastrous. The first article shows that society expects people to have a good physical appearance more so women while the second article shows that in every community, it is normal to find people with negative characters.
Appearances
Both stories present their characters in a way to show what happens in society. Like in 100% perfect girl, the author was expecting to meet a beautiful lady with good physical features and nice looking face. In Hellgoing, the author shows characters with unacceptable characters in the society. They rarely care about their hygiene and health.
Appearance is vital when it comes to individual judgment towards everything in society. Both articles help to disclose different characters exhibited by people like beauty and intelligent. Appearance is a crucial aspect used by authors and determines the way readers perceive the whole story.
Also, the two stories inform us that the way we are treated in society is determined by how we appear. In the lady in the first article would have appeared well, the author could have treated her well. In the second article, Theresa would approach his brother and father cautiously because they appeared arrogant.
