The human being from the beginning of its development presents sociocultural behavior, this allows the athlete to be considered not only as that person who can obtain pleasure in the exercise of sport, but as someone committed to all their personal structure. Therefore, sport contributes to improving the relationship, knowledge and personal expression of man, since it is a factor of social, health and well -being that allows participation in society from the development and preservation of valuesas respect for the rules of the game, loyalty, ethics and sports. Everything leads to ethics, being the science of man’s behavior in society is linked to sport as a specific form of behavior, regulating conscious and volunteer acts that affect others since sport is a means of socialization.

On the other hand, ethics is a theoretical discipline that bases on the practical, that is, on action and facts, which is why it offers a frame of reflection so that every human being makes decisions according to the criteria of what iscorrect or fair. From this vision, sport implies a reflection about its values, the good, the bad, the right and the wrong thing about sports action, transmitting values and testing the importance of ethics. According to former tennis player Jaime Fillol, there are four ways to understand the importance of ethics in sports:

The first refers to the management and development of sports organizations, that is, management without ethical, derives in corruption and in short -breath projects.

The second raises sports training and coherence with the purposes of the training process, this implies that acting without ethics implies associating the permanence of the athlete with his ability to finance a program.

The third refers to high performance and it links achievement through efforts in its training and competency processes, where the athlete must resist the temptation to improve through the dirty game or disloyalty.

The fourth refers to social sport. Sports institutions, companies and organizations must communicate their objectives for the promotion of the person’s integral well -being in society and not use them as a mere marketing strategy for profit.

Thus, sport, for the perfection he aspires and for the ethics that entails, reveals the importance of respect for rules, the benefits of constant effort, the sense of freedom and the value of dignity. To promote, promote and contribute to the realization of these purposes and values, the Higher Sports Council has developed this Ethical Code, inspired by the Code of Ethics of the Council of Europe, in order to ensure that through its voluntary and public subscriptionEstable new guidelines for behavior and behavior of the participating estates in the world of sports, whether entities, clubs, associations, athletes, technicians and sports leaders.

The code starts from the consideration that ethical behavior is essential both in activity and sports management. From there the sportsmanship arises, which would be an ethical behavior that includes the fulfillment of the rule of the game and makes the elegance of spirit and respect for the opposite over the eagerness of victory prevails.

Sportsivity is a conception of sport that transcends the pure compliance with sports rules to place themselves in an environment of respect, gentlemen and consideration of the adversary. Society is enriched with sports practice and helps to know better, express and develop in a social environment in which health and well -being is valued. Especially, in athlete ethics, one fights for the connection between sports, education and culture, in order to adapt, it is to the essential conditions of sports practice. Sportsivity and respect for the rules of the game are above the interests of the athlete and that, both in victory and in defeat, both in success and in disappointment, their public behavior fits the principles of respect for respect foradversary, and of expression of legitimate pride without impairment of the rival. Therefore, the Code of Ethics recognizes that all sports entities or people who, directly or indirectly, are related to sports activity, must grant an absolute priority to sportsmanship, since society can only benefit from moral advantagesand cultural sport if sportsmanship and exemplarity are the main concern of sports leaders and how many entities and associations are related to sport.

In professional sport, associations, federations and leagues develop their own codes of ethics as an effort oriented towards the establishment of behavior patterns, as well as specific sanctions in those cases where the violation of these regulations is determined. In a general way, the codes of ethics intend, to regulate the behaviors of all those who are part of the professional sports activity, through the promotion of ethical principles and values that guide and condition their behavior in different areas of the development of the activity, including public relations. Among these principles, clean play, social responsibility and respect for the environment stand out. They also indicate specific sports offenses, either by action or omission, defining them as any negative attitude on the part of sports people and entities that threaten discipline and good order.

As I have previously pointed out, the rules of sport are rules of life, where immediate experience shows that the practice of physical activity based on a discipline provides each person with an immediate feeling of fullness, where to integrate a physical activityTo our life is an ethical fact with a remarkable amount of benefits.

The factors that are considered negative, do not become the structure of sport itself, but from the improper and anti -use of it, possibly due to the personality characteristics of the athlete. But normally sports ethics clearly indicates that, most people adhere to the norms and rules of sport are always of a positive moral nature.

In conclusion, the norms that have always been part of all civilized human behavior would not have to be missing in sport. Because it is compliance with these norms that give sport that characteristic of dignity that it possesses and that it is possible to observe even in its most intimate aspects, since ethics has an attitudinal condition, since it predisposes the individual to actin a particular way in repeated or sporadic situations of their daily life, conditioning these actions to their personal perception and collective assessment of what is correct or incorrect. Ethics poses premises based on principles and values adjusted to beliefs influenced by the culture and social environment of coexistence. In this order of ideas, the codes of ethics in professional sport are clearly influenced by what corresponds a morally valid and correct life considering that the rules of a sport are the reflection of a deeper and more shared understanding of the values, themeaning or the purpose of sport. The modifications of the rules of the sport that are proposed can, and in reality they must take into account the attempts to defend or encourage basic values.
