Reflective Essay
During the semester I have learned about Illustration Paragraphs. They are paragraphs written to illustrate an idea or a point. The main constituents of a reflective essay are; a topic sentence that is followed by specific examples arranged in some order. I have also learned that transition sentences like “for instance” and “for example” and “another illustration is” are used to move seamlessly from one sentence to another. One of the most important things I have learned is that an illustrative style relies on word pictures and examples and they give meaning, energy, and narrative to a non-fiction or fiction. Most of the examples I used worked well with my narration. It thus helped me reach my goal as it developed my illustrative skills.
Narration paragraphs are used to tell stories. I learned that they could be used to show how events unfold first, followed by another. They are mostly used in fiction to describe the actual sequence of activities. I also learned because the fact that narrative paragraphs have a fiction resemblance, there is less freedom to write in a preferred style. Telling the story in a first person’s perspective gives me an artistic and freedom feeling, thus I can easily relay the information that I require. Next time I will try to tell the story in an objective perspective. However, I reached my goal of being able to capture the reader’s attention through narration.
Descriptive paragraphs describe a person, thing or place.

Wait! Reflection Essay paper is just an example!

They give detail information that allows the reader to imagine the situation, person or thing being described. I learned that one should consider the five senses when describing and they include smell, touch, sound, sight, and taste. However, I noticed that firstly readers consider sight before others and it is therefore critical to the description. When writing, I felt that relating to the reader will make them more engrossed in the story. Next time I will try to sharpen on how to clearly and vividly describe the sense of sight to draw the reader in. However, my goals of learning how to describe were reached because I found that I could draw the reader into the story through description.
A process paragraph is a series of steps that explains or describes how something occurs. One of the most important things I have learned when writing a process paragraph is it must follow a chronological order that must have a topic sentence each. I also learned that transition words like “next”, “finally” and “first”, are part of the process paragraph. When describing a set of instructions, however, I found it exhausting and hard to write the instructions unless I wrote them in a list format. It is due to the imperativeness of transition words that must and always be written in order to make the sentences sequential. Therefore, I should brush on transition sentences next time. All in all, my goals of being able to describe a process were reached.
A classification paragraph is used to sort a broad idea, list or topic into small subunits. I learned that once I have selected a topic, I had to come up with a sorting method or method used to break into smaller categories. This effective helped me include a long list of ideas or activities into one sentence. Besides, it was less exhaustive compared to other methods. However, I found it hard to balance the amounts of details sentences in the paragraphs body. This is an area that I should improve in the future. Nevertheless, I have reached my goals because I can quickly sort ideas and topics easily.
Compare and contrast essays analyze the similarities and difference between two different subjects. I learned that the purpose of a compare and contrast essay is also to make a meaningful argument about the topics. However, I found it challenging to transition and pattern the sentences should follow. This is a possible area of emphasis in the future. Nevertheless, I was still argumentative in the way I present my essays and achieved my goals.
A cause and effect essay describes how one action leads to an event. I understood that the composition helps us to identify patterns and explain why things are as they are. I also realized that to narrow down a wide topic, I would have to find the primary causes and breaking down into other categories (“Types of Papers: Cause & Effect” N.p). This is to increase the topic’s manageability. My goal of being able to clearly break down topics and explain the causes of an event and its consequential effects was therefore met.

To be honest, I hate writing. That’s why when my professor assigned me with coursework, I just took the easy way out and hired StudyZoomer to assist me. I’m absolutely satisfied with the result, no flaws.
