The history of women: a footprint in our history

I’m going to tour the history of women since I think they have revolutionized world. I would like to be able to talk about all of them that have left their mark on our history, but it would be very extensive, so I am going to focus on a few that have caught my attention and that I think they must be remembered.

I have chosen this issue because I think that throughout history the woman has always stayed aside, giving her less importance. It seems to me an interesting topic and that catches my attention.

Clara Campoamor

"Freedom is learned by exercising it". Feminist, lawyer and politics. Clara Campoamor is one of the women of the feminist movement in Spain. She was the first woman to join the Madrid Bar Association, where she focuses on women’s unrecognized rights.

He advocated the non -discrimination of sexes, the equality of sons and daughters inside and outside the marriage, divorce, and especially for the female vote. In 1933 he obtained the approval of female suffrage, and the first elections are held in which women have the right to vote.

Emilia Pardo Bazan

"Lenity with this kind of crimes is great. It is quite cheap to kill a woman ". Emilia Pardo Bazán was clear that without education he was not going anywhere, especially if she was a woman. And he started to work. Against the opinion which the woman had to comply as a wife, mother and lover. His argument was unappealable: a country that would like to prosper and own their destiny could not relegate women to domestic functions.

Wait! The History Of Women: A Footprint In Our History paper is just an example!

He dared to face men in a world designed by them and for them, so much so that they denied three times a seat in the Royal Spanish Academy.

Arenal Concepción

"To virtue, to a life, to science". Concepción Arenal is one of the proper names of feminism in our country, it was one of the first to face the established order and defend the rights of its gender. He had to dress as a man to study at university.

Education and respect for them as human beings and not as weak flowers to those that must be treated as if they were objects were some of their main ideas that he defended throughout his life. He said that feminism had to travel a long and tortuous road before getting equality between sexes.

Federica Montseny

This woman is the Prime Minister of the History of Spain, arrived at the Health portfolio in the middle of the Civil War. I execute essential reforms in the hygienic and public health field, pioneer measures on disease prevention, eugenics, sexuality, birth control and regulated the decree of voluntary interruption of pregnancy.

Montseny also wanted to end prostitution and created the liberatory, spaces where prostitutes entered and left freely, received medical instruction and treatment, recovered self – esteem and were prepared to join the work sphere.

Conclusions

I think the number of women who have made history in our country and even know. Doing the job I have met women that I already knew, but I must highlight that many of them had never heard about them.

I think we still have a lot to do, we must continue to fight for that equality that we still have no in many fields we do not have. But above all we must fight to maintain those who have achieved.
