Delay in Admission to XYZ
Every individual has goals to achieve something that improve their lives and make them progress. However, sometimes the achievement of the goals may be delayed because of various factors that are beyond the control of the person. Many people have faced delays to join learning institution that could increase their level of education. For instance, I delayed in the admission for the master’s enrollment program. I had completed my Bachelor in Engineering in 2005 and for the past thirteen years I have been unable to enroll for the master’s program. The delay has taught me various lessons.
Firstly, the thirteen years awaiting to join the master’s program has made me have increased patience and hope that everything will work as I wished. It is through hope that I have been able to believe that one day I would be admitted to the Master’s Program at XYZ. Most people could not have waited for thirteen years since they could feel that a lot of time had elapsed thus concluding that it would be impossible to join the institution for further learning. I have learned that to survive in life, he or she should be optimistic that everything would be good in future. If I had been a pessimist, then I would have lost hope to join the institution with the argument that I had grown old. Most people argue that one should study while still young; in the 20s and the later ages one should earn money and raise their families. Therefore, patience and hope have worked to be essential elements that can make one achieve great things in life.

Wait! The lessons we learn from experiencing setbacks can deeply affect our later success. How has a delay in your admission to XYZ affected you and what lesson(s) have you taken away that you believe will paper is just an example!

Secondly, I have learned that advanced education is very important for career growth. Despite the efforts one puts in the role assigned to him or her, low levels of education can make an individual not to be promoted to higher positions at the workplace. For instance, in some engineering firms, one has to have master’s degree for one to take the management positions. The requirements have limited my progress to various levels in my career. An individual may have all the relevant skills and experience but lack of a master’s program may make him or her to miss an opportunity of becoming the managing director of a certain firm. Therefore, the delay to enroll for my masters may affect the growth of my career since I cannot hold some of the positions in the industry.
Additionally, the delay to join the master’s program affects an individual’s life since he or she cannot have a high salary in the workplace. Most companies increase salaries to the employees through the level of education and experience. If an employee has a low level of education, then he or she will be paid a little amount of salary. Contrary, an individual with a high level of education will receive a large amount of salary. The life a person lives depends on his or her salary of other incomes. Thus, the lifestyle of the individual or the family will depend on the amount of money he or she earns. It is important for individuals to raise their level of education for them to receive higher salaries that could sustain the day to day requirements. For example, a managing director will have a higher salary than a normal engineer and hence he may live a comfortable life. Therefore, it is evident that the delay to enroll for my Mater’s education has taught me many lessons.
