World Wide Web
The World Wide Web refers to the network of documents formatted in hypertext markup language (HTML) that are accessed through the internet. It comprises of all the web pages that are retrieved through web browsers (Choudhury, 8096). On the World Wide Web, information is contained on the web page which is a document, in the HTML, accessible via a web browser. A group of web pages with the same domain name constitutes a website. A computer that hosts and runs one or more websites is referred to as a web server. It is the web server that retrieves web pages upon internet users’ request. Data can be transmitted or copied from one web server to another computer system through a process known as downloading.
The web is often used to refer to the World Wide Web. It is a subset of the internet which comprises of a network of web pages which can be retrieved through different web browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera among others (Choudhury, 8096). The primary information set for the web is the web page which represents a document displayable on different web browsers. Various resources may be embedded on the web page including scripts, style information, and media. Collection of web pages that are linked and that share a particular domain name are referred to as websites, hosted on computers systems known as web servers.
Developing a project includes the designing, controlling, and programming of the activities in a website to attain a pre-defined goal.
