Writing and writing process through practical methods

Introduction

The writing process is a way of expressing ideas, arguments or providing information to the reader. However, it entails a process and as Escarpenter (2010) indicates, writing is not only to write, but "write well";And this means developing skills with practical methods. In my experience as a student, I have had to make different writings, mostly essays. The practical process that I have followed to execute an essay writing has been as follows. I select the subject or investigate the topic to be discussed, immediately start a whirlwind of ideas and then organize them and prepare a sketch of the main topics, in these first two stages of my process I can identify the use of planning. Then I write my introduction, I develop the body of the essay with the most important points, finally I write the conclusion and do my final reviews. In the last processes are the stages of textualization and review, this is basically the process that I have had to use to develop essays or other writings. However, sometimes achieve effective writing, it takes practice and discipline, so it is important to know the steps to follow that simplify the process and help fulfill the objective of communicative intention.

Developing

I understand that the writing process can be a complex. I understand that we always have space to improve and in my personal case the writings are of great challenge, since I do not consider that the writing is my strong.

But some strengths that I can identify that they have helped me when developing a writing are, my vivid imagination, the organization and passion for the subject. On the other hand, weaknesses include expressing my thoughts in writing, the use of a descriptive vocabulary, words selection, prayer structure and score and compose objective writing pieces. This is to name some of my weaknesses but I understand that there are others, in addition, they are the reasons why the message does not correctly reach the reader sometimes. This is why the review stage is important, since it helps to capture details that can prevent a writing from being effective. "No editor can omit the review and correction in the writing process"

The fluidity of words or selection of words is something that can be difficult when writing a writing. This is because the meaning or definition of the word is unknown. Sometimes, especially for essays, readings or other writings, I have used the dictionary to identify whether the use of the word is correct or simply know the definition. I remember words, such as resilience, intrapersonal and interpersonal, and rod. Each of these words was necessary to look for them in the dictionary, since I did not know their definition or wanted to use them properly in my writings. For example, the word resilience was an issue of an essay that I had to investigate and present. According to definition.of (2008-2018), resilience is the ability of a person or a group to recover against adversity to continue projecting the future.

The use of the dictionary is necessary since in addition to providing a clear definition of the selected word, it allows you to identify the correct use in your writing so that it has fluidity. For me, the use of the dictionary in my writings, has benefited the syntax of my phrases, has allowed to expand my vocabulary and improve my selection of words in the writings. I understand that it helped me a lot to use the dictionary, since I could know the meaning of the words and properly raise them in writing with my ideas on the subject. Also, the use of the dictionary helps to know functions, etymologies and spells among other words. In my opinion, the dictionary plays an important role in the student’s life in learning.

In conclusion, writing and composition can be a difficult task. The task of organizing your thoughts and raising them in a brief entails processes so that the communicative intention is effective. It is important to take into account the stages of the writing process. Good planning will help you identify the reasons for your writing, the audience and the type of writing. In addition, the following textualization and review stages will be key points to present ideas with adequate phrases and words, in the same way that it is an understandable and enjoyable reading. In short, the objective of our writing is to communicate effectively using our reflexive skills and skills of expression.
